We were commissioned to create a short-form business documentary showcasing Will Steel’s approach to leadership coaching. With a streamlined budget, our team focused on strategic planning, efficient production, and cinematic storytelling to deliver high-value results without compromising quality.
1. Pre-Production & Planning
- Developed a clear, creative vision aligned with Will’s brand identity.
- Crafted a concise narrative highlighting his journey, coaching methods, and impact.
- Conducted location scouting to find visually strong yet cost-effective settings.
2. Script Development
Wrote a tight and engaging script, structured into three parts:
- Introduction – Will’s background and passion for leadership coaching.
- Core Philosophy – His proven methods and key principles.
- Impact & Transformation – Real stories of client success.
3. Production
- Selected one main location and minimal set dressing to optimise resources.
- Used a portable lighting setup to achieve a cinematic, professional look.
- Directed interviews in a natural, conversational style to ensure authenticity.
4. Post-Production
- Edited using DaVinci Resolve, applying professional colour grading and clean sound design.
- Integrated subtle animated text overlays to reinforce key points without overcomplicating visuals.
- Delivered both a primary documentary cut and short-form versions for digital use.
Outcome
Despite a modest budget, the final film successfully:
